My mom just used the hose and when she was done we noticed TONS of water was leaking into the kitchen from under the cabinets and in between the stove!
Why is this happening and how can we fix it?
I have a smell coming from under a kitchen cabinet that smells like sour milk (no spilt milk or moisture – all dry goods) but I cannot find anything to cause the smell. No old containers forgotten about or anything. House is kept clean
Does anyone know if mouse pee or something from mice can produce this kind of smell. I heard a mouse last night so I am wondering?
I live in a small apartment in Los Angeles and am giving it a makeover. I would really like to add some new lighting fixtures (under-cabinet lights in the kitchen, overhead lights in the closet) but don’t want to use battery operated lights.
How can I tap into my apartments electricity to hardwire some switches?
Ok, I’m redoing my kitchen & I need an insert kinda thing to go inside the cabinet over the stovetop so you don’t see it. I don’t want the kind that’s an under-the-cabinet. I’m not having much luck on finding them and the ones I do find are either to small or too much $. I need approx a 36″ hood.
I broke a large bottle of detergent under my bathroom sink; I tried wiping it up but it’s soaked into the wood. There’s also a strong detergent odor I’d like to get rid of. I’ve been using bleach to clean the mold that has since grown down there. What’s the best way to remove the detergent (it’s rented so it’d be hard to just get rid of the cabinet)?
TV is one of the most important electronic equipment in our household. As a source of entertainment its value can never be disputed. Movies, music, news, cartoon shows, live sports, fashion, fitness shows there are unlimited things one can watch and enjoy. So it is quite natural that people fight over the control of the Television.
And to be very frank, in spite of continuous reduction in the price of TV sets most households find buying another TV difficult to justify. But there is one way out that can easily and smartly solve this dilemma. There is a break through in Internet software front that will let you to convert your versatile PC into a super power Entertainment System.
This software will allow you to watch thousands (over Three Thousands to be precise) of Channels from all over the world. And it is not like your Cable or any other kind of TV network where you pay fat monthly fees to keep the show going.
All you need is an internet connection and the software and you are ready to rock. No extra hardware is needed so there will be no expenditure on that front and no messing inside your PC cabinet either.
The most interesting fact about this software is, it is fairly inexpensive -around $49 (one time). Compared to the monthly fees –around $20– that one pays for a hundred channel package it’s a heck of a deal.
And as you are using Internet to watch TV shows you can access your favorite programs no matter in what part of this vast world you currently are. It can be your home, your office or in some island of Far East -your location hardly matters as long as you can lay your hands on a net connection.
Lastly few tips on selection of right software: As you can expect there are number of flavors of software of this category are available in market. Be careful and don’t buy the first software pack you come across.
Things that you should ask yourself are: ‘Will it work on the version of Windows I run?’
’What kind of video quality will I get?’ ‘Will it work in my country?’ Be careful and go for the best software available in the market.
If you believe that you need to have a spare bedroom in order to run your small home based business in style, think again! Sure, there are those who will convert a portion of their kitchen or even a walk in closet into a bona fide office, but for the truly spatially challenged, there is another office: a cabinet! No, not the cheap furniture you can now buy at most general merchandise stores; instead, find that one piece of really well made furniture that was crafted in the old days when home furnishings were made of solid wood rather than particle board, laminate, and a lot of hope and glue.
You can find such solid pieces quite frequently at the goodwill store where they sell for very little money. Granted, they will look beaten up, probably have a lot of scrapes and scratches, and most likely feature a home paint job or two, but that is exactly what you are looking for! Have a buddy with a truck come and help you, because this kind of solid furniture is very heavy, indeed.
Once you get it home, measure it and figure out what you want to do. For example, the old record player cabinets would feature deep drawers that are perfect for holding hanging files. After installing a few simple rods inside these drawers, your hanging file folders will have a home! Old television cabinets frequently did double duty as receptacles for records and also a radio and you may find that the side portions of the cabinet are perfect for filing! Some will even have slots where you can separate invoices, bills, and other papers!
Of course, if you are lucky enough to score a desk cabinet you hit the jackpot! These pleasing pieces of furniture will feature a drop down drawer front which will reveal a deep cavern that may hold a writing surface, several drawers for office supplies, slots for envelopes, cards and so on, and a host of other nooks and crannies perfect for storing your must have items. Below there is enough room for a printer, paper, CPU and other peripherals, while the top may hold the computer monitor, telephone, and a few pleasing odds and ends. This kind of cabinet is worth its weight in gold and so often it may be purchased for next to nothing!
Refinish the furniture by stripping off offensive color and paint and lightly sanding it. Fix whatever needs to be glued back into place and reinforce areas that may appear weak. Stain or paint it to match your décor and add some pleasing cabinet knobs. Add a finishing clear coat, and you are done turning a cabinet into a home office!
Many who choose this option will place their office cabinet into a corner of the room in the catty-corner fashion so as to ensure that it fits in seamlessly with the décor, offers full accessibility to all doors and other openings, and also hides any wires and plugs that are being used. This is another reason why the cabinet option is so popular with parents: all wires and things that so quickly and easily entangle children are locked away or barred by the backing of the cabinet and thus the kids are kept safe while the parents are doing their work!
I have a panasonic under the cabinet tv/dvd system that just stopped working one day. After examining it I noticed the pack for the ac adapter was blinking red. When I unplugged it from the back of the tv it was normal, steady red light. When it gets plugged back into the tv it starts blinking rapidly and there is no power getting to the system at all.
